Water is equal to life, the right to water= right to life
The new Kenyan constitution has a provisions in Chapter 4, the Bill of Rights. Specifically, Section 43(d) on right to water, stating that “Every person has the right to clean and safe water in adequate quantities”.Section 56(e). also states that the state shall put in place affirmative action programmes designed to ensure that minorities and marginalised groups have reasonable access to water. The draft document was recently promulgated It is therefore instructive to examine the interpretation and implementation of this new piece of legislation.
